Our compostable agricultural film is a 100% compostable film suitable for agricultural use and is supplied exactly as current mulch films are supplied.
During harvest the films protect and nurture growth of your plants, restrict weed growth, increase the yield, reduce the need for herbicides and maintain moisture in the soil as well as allowing breathability. After harvest the film is either shredded (along with the remains of the plants), rotovated, or ploughed into the ground at which point the film totally biodegrades and provides nutrients for the following year.
The additional cost of the compostable film is offset by the saving on not having to gather and dispose of the film – unlike the current PE mulch films used.
Our compostable film is available in rolls in various widths from 300 to 1200mm; it is available in various thickness and colours suitable for your application although it is usually supplied as black film. It is suitable for laying by hand or with mechanical rigs. Technical support is available on the most suitable type of film.
