Marchant’s is ISO 9002 accredited, and we were the first plastics company to achieve the BS 5750 accreditation in the 1980’s.  An insistence on quality runs through our organisation, in every business process we enact.

We have a team of four Quality Inspectors and we have an inspector on site 24 hours a day, working out of a laboratory using the most up-to-date quality equipment and processes.  We quality check all our products on site in our laboratory.  Machine operatives continuously check all our products during manufacture and QC Inspectors do spot check 24 hours a day, using equipment that is regularly maintained and calibrated.  The tests we do include:

• Thickness and length
• Falling weight impact resistance
• Tear resistance
• Tensile strength and tensile strain
• Puncture strength and extension.

Every pack and roll of goods we supply is batch coded for traceability and every pallet of goods we supply is approved by our Quality Staff.  These same standards are used to check every pallet supplied by our Asian partners.

We regularly ask our customers for feedback on all our systems and business processes and we use their comments to continually improve as a business.
