Compostable range information

Compostable film

Our compostable film is available:

on reels sized from 300mm wide to 1200mm wide,
on 10-50 kilo rolls,
printed in up to eight colours, or
unprinted for use on flow wrap machines.

The film is used by companies producing a diverse range of products - from compostable mailing envelopes and carrier bags to compostable ponchos.

The film is 100% compostable and suitable both for home composting and for collection, either as part of an authorised collection scheme or by industrial composting facilities.

Compostable carrier bags and envelopes

We are able to supply printed compostable carrier bags:

in a wide range of sizes and styles – from vest style to turnover top,
manufactured to ISO 9001:2008 standards,
in registered (four to six colour) printing,
supplied on rolls, in boxes or retail wickets.

Compostable mulch film

Our 100% compostable agricultural film is supplied in exactly the same way as current mulch films.

During harvest, the film protects and nurtures the growth of your plants - restricting weed growth, increasing yield, reducing the need for herbicides, maintaining moisture in the soil and allowing breathability.

Following the harvest, the film is either shredded (along with the remains of the plants), rotavated or ploughed into the ground, at which point it biodegrades totally, providing nutrients for the following year.

The additional cost of the compostable film is easily offset by savings in disposal costs (which are incurred when using current PE mulch films).

Our compostable film is available on rolls, in widths ranging from 300mm to 1200mm. Though it is usually supplied as a black film, it can be produced in various colours and thicknesses, depending on your application. It is suitable for laying by hand or with mechanical rigs.
